Ben Gets Braces

Today Ben got braces for the first time! He was not excited about them but he picked some great rubber band colors and now he's ok with it :)

Ben will have braces for about 2 years and will probably be off by 7th grade! 

The Recent Happenings in the Life of Ben

Ben's teacher sent me this picture the other day and I just love it! It really sums up Ben: making people smile, never afraid to be himself, and never short on making people giggle. His personality is just my favorite and I can't even express how much joy he brings to my life. 

The other day Ben let me take him to get his haircut with an actual style. He HATED it and it ended up in tears. Major mom fail but thankfully we were able to fix it by going back to his traditional buzz haircut and all things were eventually fixed and repaired. I am proud that he tried something new and thankful that he forgave me when he didn't like it but still smiled for a picture haha! 

And for the last bit of news in Ben's life: his basketball season has come to an end. His team, the Cougars, were undefeated the whole season and had a great run until they lost in the championship game. It was a hard loss, since we had beat this team before but in the end it was still a really fun, great season, with many awesome boys on his team. Ben worked so hard this season, learned so much and improved so much as a player. I am so proud of him and always enjoy watching him do what he loves!
