Our First Christmas

This Christmas was our first one together as a family and it was really nice. I have been learning over the years that things aren't going to be perfect and to view the flawed moments as memory makers not memory wreckers and that really helps keep me focused on the lesson: enjoying moments with family is way better than perfection. So this Christmas season, imperfections and all, was a wonderful Christmas with my family! So thankful to have a full and happy home!!!!

We had so much fun spending time together that I didn't get pics of the kiddos Christmas morning but that's ok because they are memories that I will always have, even without pictures :)

Christmas Season Fun Times

There are so many activities that the boys love doing each Christmas season- sometimes it's hard to fit them all in but we do our best and although it's a lot of work I love watching them get excited about each activity and seeing them smile! Here are some of the activities our family did this Christmas season. 

DECORATING UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS

Instead of gingerbread houses this year, we decorated ugly Christmas sweaters.

However, the boys decided they wanted to make pretty sweaters haha

THE LAKES in THOUSAND OAKS

Our family drove out to the lakes on night and had dinner, played at the park and then Kacy and Nathan showed off their wonderful ice skating skills! It was chilly, lots of fun, filled with giggles, and a great night of fun memories.

CHRISTMAS TREE LANE

Instead of going to see Christmas lights in Oxnard at F Street like usual, this year we went out to Christmas tree lane in Camarillo. It was pretty dang chilly the night we went but the boys liked it and it was fun to get to walk around together and explore all the different Christmas light displays. 

First Family Pictures

One year into being a new family and a married couple and things are going great! There are definitely wrinkles that needs to ironed out along the way but I am thankful to do that ironing with a man who is loving, tender, kind and compassionate. One year after being a new family- we finally decided it was time for some family pics! Love them and love our little family!

Nathan is the perfect mix of seriously smart and silly. 

He definitely keeps us on our toes but he's so much joy and we love him to the 

moon and back!!!!

Our First Chrismtas

Preparing for our first Christmas together as a new family is fun! With all the fires, we got our tree later than we planned but we ended up getting a cute little tree and set it all up. So fun to start new traditions together and so excited to see what this holiday season brings for us.
