Feelin Like Summer

This week was a busy one. The weather is starting to feel more and more like summer with gorgeous days (about 75 degrees) so we have been spending lots of time playing outside: riding bikes, drawing with sidewalk chalk, playing bubbles, etc. This week I decided to try my hand at making moon sand. It is so easy to make (8c flour, 1 cup baby oil, mix together with hands). It is super soft, smells good, and clumps together to make castles really well. Ben loved it and is convinced that I really went to the moon to get it :) I love his creative mind!

In addition to playing moon sand and enjoying playing outside we also spent lots of time at the park, having picnics, and just being silly! Here are some more pics from our past week:
Mr. Handsome- love these little shoes!
Nathan always has a smile to share
Our first strawberry of the season- yummy!

Just Like Daddy, Just Like Brother

The other day Bryan came home from work threw his gear on the couch and walked away. Well it was just too much for Nathan to resist, he just had to try it on. As soon as I saw him wearing it, I grabbed my camera as fast as I could because all the sudden it hit me- Ben did this at the SAME age wearing the SAME outfit. So, no this wasn't planned and yes, I do think it is incredibly cute!

Back Seat Driver

I have recently acquired my own little back seat driver. Anytime the car stops Nathan will say/shout "GO GO GO!!!" I love these little insights into his personality- I just love this little guy!

Ben's First Preschool Chapel Performance

Wednesday morning Ben had his first little performance in chapel at school. I am so proud of him for getting up there singing his little heart out to God and rocking it for Jesus. I love how he is growing and learning more and more about how to be a follower of Jesus everyday. I am one proud mommy!

Our Week In Review

Somebody loves frozen yogurt... and his mommy!

The weather was awesome this week so we spent lots of time at the park after school having picnics and playing with friends, playing sidewalk chalk, riding bikes, and making smoothies. We also went for frozen yogurt one night and we enjoyed free Slurpee day at 7-Eleven another night. It was a great week spent with my favorite little people!

Nathan loves smoothies!

Truck Day!!!

Trucks, trucks and more trucks!!! Today was truck day in Ventura and we had one very excited little 3 year old on our hands who couldn't wait to go and see all the different types of trucks. This was a free event at a school just down the street from us and it was very well done!!! Each child received a free book, coloring book, and got to explore many various types of trucks. Families were also encouraged to pack lunches, which we did, and it was a great time with perfect weather! We had a LOAD of fun at Truck Day and can't wait to go back next year!!!

Ben-isms

I love the funny things that Ben comes up with. Here are a few that have made me laugh lately:

*Walking through a parking lot a car passed us really slow. All the windows were down, all 3 people in the car were smoking and it smelled horrible- turn your stomach horrible and before I could say anything Ben looks at me and says "mom, the smell of that car is gonna make me be sick, I mean really sick!"

*Ben is really into emergency personnel. He likes to pretend he is a police man or fireman all the time. The other day he was riding in the store cart and the conversation went like this:
B: mommy, I'm a police man
M: oh dear, I better be sure I make good choices so I don't get in trouble
B: (a few minutes later he squeals) I'm in jail! The police man is in jail!
M: oh my gosh you better call your lawyer
B: no, that's ok. I'll just call Jesus!

This kid cracks me up!!!! I love you Ben- thanks for bringing so much joy to my life!

Sprinkler Fun

It was a nice spring day and the boys were getting pretty antsy so I thought it was a great time to play in the sprinklers. Ben had a great time and played for about half an hour but Nathan wasn't too sure and had more fun just watching Ben play. After playing in the sprinklers, we had a picnic outside and then headed in for naps! It was so nice to just be outside with the boys enjoying the sun and listening to their giggles!

all tuckered out!

My Little Book Lover

I love how I often find this sweet little boy reading a book somewhere. Whether he is reading by himself or having somebody read to him, this kid just LOVES books!
