We had been planning for a long time to take Ben to Disneyland for his birthday (when he turned 2 in July) but with all Bryan's traveling and me getting pregnant and being so sick it just didn't work out. So when my birthday rolled around (Oct), we decided it was better late than never and we planned a trip. We left Wednesday after work and headed down south. We stayed the night in a hotel and then went to Disneyland and Disneyland CA Adventure on Thursday and Friday. It was great to be able to stay in a hotel because we were able to come back in the afternoons to give Ben a nap before heading back to the park at night. Then on Saturday morning, we packed up and headed home. We got discounted tickets off the base and thanks to all Bryan's traveling over the past 8 months, our hotel stay was free :)
The timing was great too- we were there for the first day of the Christmas decorations, lights, shows and surprisingly the lines were not too long. I think the longest we waited for was 30 minutes (for the ferris wheel) otherwise our average wait was 5-20 minutes which is really nice when you are waiting with a 2 year old in line :) The other nice thing was that there were actually a couple rides that I was able to go on with Ben (safe for PG women). It was really cool that Ben was able to ride every ride (for his age/height) in both parks except Small World (3 hr wait), Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted House (we thought those might be too scary for him). He loved all the rides except for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and after the rides were over he kept saying "more ride, more ride". It was really cute!
I must say, I am one blessed mommy to have a little guy that was so well behaved and patient. He was so sweet and friendly while waiting in lines, he did great sleeping in a hotel, and he didn't have one potty accident the whole trip. He had a blast and kept kissing up and saying thank you. It was really amazing to watch him experience everything and see it all through his perspective. This experience was amazing and something I hope I will never forget. I am so blessed to be Ben's mom and I am so thankful that we were able to go on this great family vacation together!!!
Tea Cups: Ben's favorite ride as you can see on his face

Waiting patiently in line
Train Ride
Ben and Daddy on the rocket ride. There was no line so they got to ride it two times.
Ben loved watching the parade. He thought it was really funny that the puppy's buns were "falling off"
Parade watching with daddy

Dumbo was another one of his favorite rides. I think because he could control the ride.

Ben was ready for the ride to start- love the face haha!

Christmas time in Disneyland(starting my 7th month PG)

It cracked me up that Ben thought riding the bus (shuttle) to and from Disnyeland was also a ride. LOL
The "Bugs Life" part of the park had tons of great rides for little kids and Ben loves bugs!
