We have loved having summer adventures with our friends the Cresto family! We have celebrated birthdays (Madison's and Ben's), enjoyed Taco Tuesdays, had endless hours in the pool, had sleep overs and other fun outings. We love doing life with you guys!!!

Birthday Trip with Daddy

For Ben's birthday Daddy took him to Santa Cruz Island for the day. They rode a boat over and then played on the beach, explored caves on kayaks and saw whales. The boys had a great time and as Nathan proclaimed "and I didn't puke on the boat this time"... so it seems to have been a great day haha!

Sight Words Completed

I made this chart for Ben at the beginning of the school year of all the sight words his teacher needed him to know before school was done. I told him when all the popcorn kernels were colored in, meaning he had learned them, I would take him to the movies and let him get popcorn (which I never do). 

Well he finished them before school was out and we hadn't had a chance to go yet. So today we went! He loved getting popcorn and his own big boy drink! Thankfully for me it was $1 day haha. We met up with friends and had a great time! Proud of you Ben! Now it's time to move on to some 1st grade sight words Mr. Smarty!!!!

Pirate Days Ventura Harbor 2015

Today I took the boys to Pirate Days in the Ventura Harbor and we brought along our favorite pirate Mr Chris. It was super hot, humid and sticky but it was still fun. We had lunch, ice cream, held birds, watched a little pirate show and just explored. 

Coppers & Choppers Event

Today was the annual Coppers & Choppers event put on by the Ventura County Sheriffs Department. All the branches of the VCDS were there with their equipment for the kids to check out and explore. We met up with our friends (Ben's best friend Andon's family) and spent the day exploring! The boys were in heaven and stayed way later than I had predicted but it was awesome hearing all the questions they had for the deputies and watching them explore everything. It was a great day!
