Sneak Peak!

New family pics are coming soon!
These past 2 years being a single mom has taught me so much! There were times of tears, frustration, questioning, and growth but also more happiness, joy and love than I could ever express. No matter what life brings though, these boys make it all worth it!

Christmas is Coming... Part 2

The boys have been super excited about Christmas coming so while they were with their dad today, I put flannel Christmas sheets on their beds, pulled out all the Christmas movies and books, and hung up lights in their room. I can't wait to see their expressions when they come home tomorrow!!!

Oh The Joys of Raising Boys

This morning Nathan was crying "people will make fun of me because my shoes are old" and Ben reached over and said "I'm your brother Fella, I'll always protect you; nobody will ever make fun of you!" .... Melt my heart!!!

Christmas is Coming...

The boys have been SO excited about Christmas coming so tonight I told the boys that we were gonna work as a team and figure out how to hang Christmas lights on our house all by ourselves. Little did I know what we were getting ourselves into--- but not only did we survive, we had fun doing it!

I am proud of my boys for being such great helpers and I'm proud of myself for getting this done without needing to ask for help!!!

WE DID IT!!!

Nothing Sweeter

Paramount Ranch Adventure

Today the boys and I spent the morning exploring Paramount Ranch! It was such a fun place to explore and definitely a place that we will be going back to VERY soon!!!

Then, after exploring all morning, we grabbed lunch at the Habit and enjoyed the warm weather while we ate outside. These smile make all the hard times worth it!

Thanksgiving Day 2014

This year I got to spend all of Thanksgiving Day with my boys (Bryan was out of town) and it was SOOO wonderful!!! We spent the morning having a family breakfast of eggs, fruit and cinnamon rolls. Then we headed to my parents house and Ben and Nathan worked with Papa and Grandma Donna making the apple pie for dinner. Then after a nice little Thanksgiving nap, we headed back to my parent's house for Thanksgiving dinner.

It was a blessed day with family and my boys! I am beyond thankful for my family, my sweet boys, and all the memories and times that we share!

LOVE this face!!!

Fall 2014 Bucket List

I love having a bucket list up for the season! Sometimes, life get's so crazy, and I often find myself so tired and then once the season passes I realize there were so many things I "wished I had remembered to do". So these fun little bucket lists are a great encourager and reminder of those little things that I often forget and makes for a fun season!

Traditions Continued

Last year the boys and I decided to make our own little Thanksgiving dinner and they just loved it! So this year, when Ben asked to do it again I had to say yes.

Ben loves to make this meal on his own (as much as possible) so we made a list, headed to Trader Joes and got what we needed. We of course had to get some cheater items, things that we primarily already made such as mashed potatoes, but Ben doesn't care and is just so proud to be making this "feast" by himself.

Ben even taped our silverware to make it fancy haha

Then, after we made, ate, and cleaned up our feast, we got in our jammies and snuggled up in mommy's bed for a movie night. I am pretty sure that there were more stuffed animals than people in my bed but it was the perfect ending to a wonderful night.

Our dinner might not have been made from scratch, but it was made with love and it's little nights and moments like this, that I truly treasure as a mom!!!

Ben's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Performance

This past Tuesday Ben had his first Kindergarten Thanksgiving performance. It was beyond cute and it is so great seeing him progress through school, make friends, memorize poems, and sing cute songs!

I am so proud of you Ben and I wouldn't have missed this for the world!
