When we were done trick-or-treating we headed back to the house. I really wanted Ben to practice handing out candy to others so that he would learn about giving and not just getting. Little did I know he would love it so much. He loved it so much that he would run after people shouting "you want some candy people?" and "come to my house people, I have candy". In fact at the end of the night I asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he said handing out candy. Here is a video of Ben handing out some candy to our neighbors. I love how he shouts "hey wait up" (where does he get these funny phrases?)
(and yes, we were right there with him)

Fall Festival 2011

For the first time, we decided to host a Fall festival in our backyard for all Ben's little friends. We had mummy hot dogs, owl cupcakes, face painting, a bat pinata, crafts, and games! The game booths were run by some students from the youth group at our church who came and volunteered: they were amazing helpers! The evening weather was perfect and there was lots of fun and laughter with great friends. This is for sure something we will do again next year!

Today we celebrated our sweet friend Lyric's 3rd Birthday! It was a great afternoon with friends!

A week ago we had our first "family of four" pictures taken by our great friend and VERY talented photographer: Anna Joy!

Brotherly Love

These 2 are always playing together. It just warms my heart how much they love each other and how much Ben loves to help Nathan "learn" things :)






And this is why I now need to mop everyday!








Glow sticks in bath water is a fun way to get clean




If you turn your head for just one second- Nathan will take off and disappear. Ben thinks it is just too funny that when he leaves a room and comes back he finds Nathan in a different spot and will say "Nathan! How did you do that?"
