Just A Simple Fun Day

Nothing special happened today but it was just a fun day! The boys played sidewalk chalk and in forts while I cleaned the house, we went to SAMs club, we played outside, we snuggled and watched shows, we cut Ben's hair and then we went to dinner together. It was just a simple day, but it was a nice day!

They Call Me Mommy

Mornings filled with pancakes, coloring, joke books, and snuggling my boys are my favorite mornings! These boys are my world and I am so blessed and thankful that they call me "mommy"!!!

Humpty Dumpty (aka: Nathan James)

Nathan learned some very hard life lessons today at his dad's house:

1. We do not play on the top bunk until we are 6 years old

2. If you disobey, and choose to crawl up on the top bunk, DO NOT pretend you are a bird and decide to jump off

3. If you do those things, you will end up VERY hurt!

Broken left arm, multiple places

splinted at ExER until our appt Monday morning with a specialist

finally got him to sleep- poor thing 

sitting in the pediatric orthopedic office morning. Playing with
a sticker book, while we wait for the doctor to come in

got his cast on and not very happy about the pain on the ride home 

not a happy camper- thankful for pain meds for this little guy 

propped up on a million pillows: the only way I can get him to sleep well

Finally a smile, a couple days later- happy boy with a couple new toys
to entertain him while he takes it easy for a bit!

No Better Medicine

...I love being a mommy to 2 boys! Little boys snuggles and hugs are the best medicine ever! 

Graduating from Physical Therapy

This is amazing to me to see Nathan sitting indian style! This is something that 4 months ago, he was physically unable to do. He has been "W-sitting" since he could learn to sit and it was making his legs so bad that he was unable to run or jump without tripping. It was effecting his play at school and other areas of his life so we started him in some physical therapy. He worked really hard at PTherapy and it was all worth it. Today I walked in and saw his sitting like this playing with Legos. So proud of him! His teachers also say he is playing chase and other running games with his friends at school. Makes me so happy to see him playing with his friends! 

A Night With Friends

Coming home from school, doing HW together, eating dinner together, hours jumping on the trampoline, and popcorn/movie nights-- those are my favorite nights! I love our nights with the Cresto family... GREAT memories!!!

Cousin Time

Nothing is better than spending time with your cousins, a great blankie, and a good show on a gloomy morning. I love watching these boys interact or snuggle together- they are just so sweet!

Yes, it is true- Nathan painted this for me. 5 years old and he painted this. I can't even draw a stick person let alone paint like this. Well done Nathan. Thank you for taking the time to make this for me!

Moment of Silence

Well, we survived our first death of a pet. The boys did ok with it, Ben did better than Nathan, but it was a great life lesson for them and allowed us to have some great family discussions. 

Dentist Appt: Perfection

Another great appointment at the dentist for these 2 boys! Way to keep those teeth white, clean and shiny!

Brotherly Love

This quiet moment in the car on the way to school: Ben reading a book to Nathan. Such sweetness and kindness. Makes a mama's heart melt!
