31 Weeks Update

So here are the updates from the OB appt this morning. . .
• I am almost 32 weeks and I have gained 14 lbs so far in this whole PG (which the OB says is great. He says he is comfortable with his patients gaining up to 25-30 pounds).

• Everything with Ben and mommy looks great (even with the car accident) and despite only have two vessels in his umbilical cord, Ben is weighing a whopping 4lbs 6oz!(What a fatty, LOL)

• We have set the induction date for July 17th (tentatively) so Ben should be coming in 7 weeks and I am STOKED!!!!

• I am also starting to get the nesting bug . . . last night Bryan and I put together the changing table and it was really fun to do together! I am excited to do the crib next!

• Our next appt is June 13th so we will check back in with you then. Hope that you are all doing well!

The Good and the Bad Of It All

The good news is that everybody is safe, the bad news is that I was in a car accident yesterday. The other driver was ok, but we decided to go to Los Robles Hospital to make sure that everything was ok.

When I got there, my lower belly and the top of my belly were hurting but I figured it was just from the seat belt and stress. Ben was doing great, in fact he was moving so much that the nurses were struggling to get the monitors to track his heartbeat because he kept kicking the monitors off. To my surprise though, I was in early labor having contractions regularly every 2-3 minutes. They checked my cervix and thankfully it was still closed so they gave me a shot of terbutaline to stop my contractions which seemed to work within 30 minutes. We were in labor and delivery for about 4 hours but thankfully at about 10:30pm we were allowed to go back home.

Praises that everybody involved is ok. Praises for my amazingly supportive family and the most supportive husband a girl could ever have. Prayers that this whole situation gets resolved quickly. And finally, prayers for the move this weekend, that everybody is safe and that things go smoothly.

Week 29 Update

I can not believe that I am almost 30 weeks PG. Our OB appt went well yesterday. Ben is growing and is right where he should be which is an answer to prayer. My blood pressure seems to be returning to where it should be and I did not gain 1 pound during the last month. We will now start seeing the OB every 2 weeks and at our next appt we will get another ultrasound to measure Ben's growth again.

Satruday is my friends and family baby shower and I am so excited to be able to share this time with the people closest to me. I am also excited becuase some of my family members have not seen "the belly" since November, so this will be an exciting day!

Prayers for Ben to continue to grow strong and healthy, me to remain healthy, and prayers for our house which is set to close escrow today :)

Entering Trimester 3

Well we finally made it to the end of trimester 2! YAY!!! This is something that Bryan and I once thought would never happen for us. There were many times going through our journey of infertility and miscarriages that we thought this might never get here. Now we are here and we can barely believe it. Just the other day Bryan and I were saying, "oh my gosh, can you believe there are only 10-11 weeks left?" Time is flying by and we are enjoying every minute of being PG: the good and the bad, because we know that this baby is a gift from God and we treasure this gift more than anything!

Our next appt is Wednesday of next week. After that appt we will start going to see the OB every 2 weeks. I can not believe how close we are getting to the end. I will miss all of Ben's kicks, wiggles and squirms but I can not wait to have him in my arms!

Also, we wanted to share some of the end of trimester 2 pics that our friend took as a gift.
