Beach Day with Buddies

Saturday we spent the whole day at the beach with our buddies the Cresto family! We packed lunches and all our beach toys and enjoyed a day soaking up the sun. Even if it was a little chilly, it felt good to be in the sun and with friends at the beach after being sick the past week.

Nathan and Madison is a hole bigger than them so all you
can see is Nathan's head haha!

Golf'N'Stuff Outing

Sometimes as a mom you have ideas that you think are gonna be great but then once you get started, you quickly realize how wrong you were haha! Friday night was one of those moments.

Friday night I had the idea to take the boys to golf'n'stuff, thinking that Nathan would be old enough to golf, especially if he and I shared the club as a team. Nathan was so excited and overwhelmed by all the sites, holes, and scenery that it took until the 10th hole to get him to focus and figure out the fame.

Oh well, live and learn, we all made it through and the boys still had a great time and that is ALL that matters.

Ben did great and really got into it

Date with this Cutie

Friday, after school, this little cutie and I got a special lunch date. I love our special little dates together where we get to talk just the two of us and I can give him all my attention, uninterrupted. I can't believe that he will be turing 7 soon.... something about 7 just seems SOOOO old! And with as fast at these 7 years have flown by, I know that before I know it, another 7 years will have flown by and I will be saying that I can't believe he is turing 14! So for now, I am just soaking up all these little dates and moments; feeling blessed to be him mommy!

Green Thumb Hopeful

This is our new little family garden. The box is an old cabinet from the junkyard pile at my dad's work. It was the perfect little find, so we drilled some holes in the bottom, filled it with dirt and got started planting. The boys chose to plant:

  • cucumbers
  • strawberries
  • tomatoes
  • one more item TBD
... and then to the right, in the dirt we planted: watermelon and zucchini. The boys are really excited about it and I am hopeful that we will get some good produce from our new little family garden.

Spring Break 2015

The first week of April was Spring Break for both of the boys. It was nice to have a week off school to be with the boys and just take some time to slow down. We spent the week:
snuggled with friends
enjoying amazing meals with our best friends
went to church Easter morning
Happy Easter Ben
Happy Easter Nathan
Making Jello Playdough

taking naps
endless snuggles- my fav!!!
playing with puppies and being silly
And we had a special date day where we went to breakfast, the boys got order hot chocolate (their favorite) and then we went to see the movie Home, which was fantastic!!!!! The boys loved that movie and it is for sure a movie that we will be adding Ben's birthday wish list haha!!!

Fish Hatchery Field Trip

The last week of March, Nathan and Madison had spring break while Ben and Ella still had school. So one morning, Nathan and I kidnapped Madison for a little field trip. We drove to Fillmore, had donuts, played at the park and spent time feeding the fish at the Fish Hatchery! I love these 2 together and getting time with just them alone. All their conversations, giggles and watching them rock out and dance was the best! I am a blessed mommy!!!

Rocking Being a Kindergartner!!!

The past couple weeks have been busy for Ben at school but he is rocking it! Ben picked out some new books at the book fair to practice his reading- he is getting so good at reading on his own. The Art Fair was this past week and we got to go and see some of his cool pieces he has made this year so far! And finally, he was Star of the Week which he thought was just the coolest thing ever!!!!!!! I am so proud of Ben and all that he has learned this year! Math, so far, is his best subject but before I know it he'll be reading all by himself and rocking at that too!

WAY TO GO BEN- PROUD OF YOU BABY!!!!
