Today is my mom's 50th birthday so for dinner my mom, dad and I met up with Grandpa Al and Sara, and our family friend Sandy for dinner at Cafe Zacks. (Bryan is still gone for a work trip) It was the best food and a really cute little place. If you have never eaten there, you really should try it. It is a real treat! Also for my mom's birthday, Ben surprised my mom and sent her "baby" roses at her work. Cafe Zack's is a really nice restaurant so Ben made sure that he wore his nicest outfit. Here are some pics of his big boy outfit, complete with new shoes :)
Tomorrow is my first day back to teaching. I know that I am leaving Ben in very trust worthy hands and that there will be no shortage of love and care while I am gone but I must admit that I am still very sad. Although my working part time is the best thing for my family, it is hard to leave him. So please pray for me that my first day goes smoothly and that I have a sense of peace when leaving my little peanut tomorrow :(
This Sunday was a great day for our family because we had Ben's baby dedication at church. It was such a special time where we were able to make a statement that we plan on raising Ben in a christian home centered on God. We want to raise him up and teach him to love and follow Christ as his personal savior. We are so blessed to have my family to surround us and that will help us and support us in raising Ben to be a strong Godly man. We love Ben so much and feel so blessed that the Lord has given us this gift and we want to do all that we can to honor Him!
For my mother-in-laws birthday, we all went to the Ronal Reagan Library (bryan's grandma, bryan's mom, bryan's brother Daniel, Bryan, Ben and myself). It was Daniel's first time getting to meet Ben and he is already a great uncle! Here are some pics from our trip.
Also, Ben recently really wanted to help with the laundry, so here is a pic of Ben "helping".
Finally, here are some cute pics of daddy and Ben just hanging out. Check out the cute baby tube socks. LOL!
So we laid Ben down to take a nap this evening and put on a CD that our friend Jodi Plum had made for him. (It is the cutest CD, it has lullabies that we all know but they say his name in them. It is the most awesome thing ever!!!) Anyways, back to the story . . . well it got really quiet in his room, so Bryan and I went in to check on him and he was totally waving his arms and feet everywhere just listening to the music. He is already practicing his dance moves; he must have some of my cousin Jeff's dance/music skills. Anyways, check outh this cute little video :)
Ben gets the hiccups all the time. They are so cute and little and they make us laugh so we thought we would post them and hopefully bring a smile to your face too!
I can not believe that Ben will be one month already!!! Where has the time gone? He is still the best baby and starting to make really cute faces. We just fall more and more in love with him each day :) What an amazing gift that Lord has blessed us with.
Oh my goodness, next week's post will be the one month mark! I am not ready for that, it is going by WAY too fast. Our little guy is growing very well, he is about 8 1/2 lbs and growing each day. He is still a happy little guy who just enjoys being tickled and loved on. Here are some pics from the past week:
This past week has been a busy one for Ben :) He went to church for the 1st time, he went on a date with mom and dad for the 1st time and he went swimming for the 1st time. Whew... what a week! Here are some of the pics from the last week:
