Ben-isms

Lately Ben is really into talking about Jesus and it just melts my heart. Here are a few conversations we have had over the past week that I have written down to make sure I never forget . . .

B: mom, what does Jesus make?
M: What are some things YOU think he makes?
B: trees, leaves, apples (pauses) and trash cans, dirt and tractors
. . . LOL, such the boy answer

B: where does Jesus live?
M: if you tell Jesus you love him, he lives in your hart
B: I love you Jesus! (then after a couple seconds he starts giggling)
M: Why are you laughing Ben?
B: Jesus is tickling my heart
. . . LOVE THIS SWEET BOY!

B: is Jesus in your heart mom?
M: yes! Is he in your heart Ben?
B: Yeah. Mom, Tiny Nathan must have a Tiny little Jesus in his heart
. . . oh the way a 3 year old mind works cracks me up

Fall Fun with Friends

This morning some of our friends came over for some September fall fun. We played outside in the crisp cool air, we painted with apples, we found stars in the middle of our apples, and we matched apple colors with M&Ms. It was great fun, I am so blessed to have such great friends in my life.

Nathan James: 7 Months Old

Now that Nathan is sitting up and playing he has discovered that he loves toys he can grab onto, shake and even throw- tons of fun for Nathan, tons of messes for mama :)

Sweetness

There is just something sweet about a baby sleeping

Growing Up

Ben has started to really enjoy taking showers all by himself like a big boy. He plays in the water, squirts water from his mouth like a squirt gun and draws pictures on the shower wall in steam. He has a great time and I gotta say it sure is a lot easier on my back.

Nathan on the other hand, enjoys have more room to splash and play all by himself :)

Date With Daddy

This past weekend Ben went on a date with Daddy. They headed to the beach with thier bikes and had a great time.

Here are just some of the fun things that they did:

Here are just some of the many silly faces that Ben makes when having fun with daddy

Sweeter Than Sugar

This is how these brothers always are: sweeter than sugar!

Arts and Crafts

Ben is really into pumpkins right now and even wants to be one for Halloween, so today during Nathan's morning nap we sat down and made this pumpkin craft together. It was really fun and he LOVED it!

1-2-3 Count with Me!

Ben just turned 3 (about) 8 weeks ago and here he is counting to 15. He has been doing it for about a week but I have not been able to catch it on camera until now. really proud of my little guy- this is pretty awesome!
There is never a dull moment in my house:

Lately Ben is really into people being married. When he sees people together he wants to know if they are married, he asks if he can marry me, etc. This is a sweet little video:

Happy Birthday Daddy

Monday, Sept 12th was Bryan's birthday!

Ben made him a great card

And my gift to him, along with the new watch I got him, was giving up my rest time (while the boys nap) to straighten my hair for Bryan (it's his favorite, but it takes me about an hour and a half to do)

And Nathan provided Daddy with lots of smiles and giggles!

We love our Daddy and we can't wait to spend many more birthdays with him!

Birthday Fiesta

Monday is Bryan's birthday so this weekend we had some of his family over for a birthday fiesta (Bryan's favorite food is tacos). His mom even made homemade taco shells- yummy! It was a great night with great food. Happy early birthday babe!

Baby Shoes

I have a secret confession- I just love little baby shoes and I especially love the little baby wearing these shoes!

A Couple Clowns

Today we spent the afternoon at the annual picnic for my Dad's work, which Ben was convinced was a birthday party for my dad. He wanted to know why people didn't sing happy birthday to Papa or have candles- too cute! Anyways, it was a great afternoon spending time with family, enjoying great food, great weather, and even winning a prize at the raffle (Ben won a geotrax set)! No picnic would be complete though without some clowns running around :)

If You Ask Me Why . . .

. . . I stay home- it's because I never want to miss these little moments:

Nathan was laying down playing so Ben took his clothes off to be just like his brother (plus it was a really hot day). So sweet!

I love brotherly love and how sweet they are to each other. I hope as they grow up they will always watch out for each other and take of one another!
