Happy St Patrick's Day
This past weekend Ben and daddy participated in the Downtown Ventura St Patricks Day Parade. The Ventura BMX entered a group of riders and Ben rode in the parade on his BMX bike. He had a great time riding with his daddy and waving to all the people. Nathan and mommy drank our hot dirks (it was a cold damp morning) and watched Ben and the rest of the parade go by. Nathan's favorite parts of the parade were the bands, the tractor, the train, and of course watching daddy and Ben go by! It was a fun morning for all.

Little Friends
While getting frozen yogurt the other night, Nathan asked if he could have my phone. I asked him why he wanted it and who he wanted to call. He said (his friend Sofia) so I give him the phone and put it on video mode. I didn't prompt him what to say or anything- this is 100% Nathan. I love to listen to his little voice, I love how tender and sweet his heart is for his friends and it cracks me up that he JUST turned 2 but he already knows what a best friend is :)
Soaking up the Sun
Today after picking up Ben from school, we headed to the beach and met up with Uncle Matt and Puppy Hunter for a walk at the beach. Nathan rode in the stroller and Ben rode his bike. It was nice to get out, walk and enjoy some sun. I'm not sure who was more tired when we were done: Puppy Hunter or Ben but either way, I am sure it equaled great naps for both :)

Knock Knock... Who's There?
Welcome to Nathan's new house courtesy of Grandma Donna, Papa Dave, Aunt Staci, Uncle Matt and Uncle Jim and Auntie Den!
It was their birthday present to Nathan, but we were waiting until Aunt Staci was in town to give it to him. So tonight we had a family dinner, built the house and spent great time together. I am so thankful that I was blessed with such an amazing family that I actually love and look forward to spending time with! Thank you all for this great playhouse- I know my boys will spend lots of time together in there making great memories for years to come!

Oh The Joys of Raising Boys
Here are some of my favorite things from our family trip today...
My favorite picture:
My favorite quote:
While at the zoo I leaned over and hugged Bryan and kissed him and Ben says "guys just kiss and stop hugging already"... guess he is already in that "my parents are so embarrassing stage" haha
My favorite video:
My favorite thing the boys had me laughing about all day. . . yep, you guessed it- poop. They thought the size of the elephant poop was hilarious, and when I asked them what their favorite thing was about the zoo today, they both commented on the elephant poop. OH THE JOYS OF RAISING BOYS!
A Day Out With My Monkeys
Lately our family time has been limited due to school, work schedules, and me being so sick. So Bryan and I decided to surprise the boys and take a family trip to the SB Zoo. The weather was perfect and Nathan hadn't been since he was a baby. The boys just LOVE animals and exploring so this was the perfect trip! The day couldn't have gone better and I am so thankful for the time we had together today. Listening to the boys laugh, gasp in wonder, and watching them run around together was the best! This day very needed and it is nice to feel connected again. Thank you for Lord for special times like this and the memories from today that we will cherish forever!

I also made these little zoo passports for the boys so that they could check off the animals as they saw them in our journey through the zoo. It's like a non-stop scavenger hunt, perfect for all that little boy energy!
