At the beginning of the season Ben asked me to coach his team. My dad coached my VYBA teams when I was younger so I was excited when Ben asked me to coach his team. Coaching 8year old boys is not the same as coaching girl volleyball though... let me tell you! There is endless energy, fart jokes and you say the same thing 8x and still nobody hears you. But it is also filled with moments of celebration when one of the players makes his first basket all season or when your defense finally starts working and the kids have that "light-bulb" moment. This past season, not only did my players learn a lot but so did I. Ben also, grew as a player this season really understanding what it means to double team and how to set himself before he shoots. One game, he made 4 baskets... GO BEN! I have loved this past season and I have loved my time with Ben! Thanks Ben for asking me to coach your team- I wouldn't have traded this for the world!
