Daddy's New Toy

If you haven't heard yet, Bryan has a new toy. It is a navy blue 2004 extended cab Chevy Silverado. It has less than 60,000 miles on it and is in perfect condition. The guy that he bought it from only used it as a business car and it sat in a covered garage the whole time. It was a great deal, and to add to it, we sold the Honda within 2 hours of buying the truck :)

He had been searching for a new truck ever since I crashed his last truck when I was 7 months PG. Plus the Honda had over 160,000 miles on it was starting to die so it was the perfect time for him to get a truck. I am so happy that he found what he was looking for :)

Ben's New Crazy Face

Insalling Carpet Padding

Lately, Ben is trying to walk everywhere, along anything he can grab hold of. Along with this comes lots of tumbles and bonks. So we thought it would be a good idea to put some padding under the area run in the living room to lessen the amount of owies. As you can see, Ben thought that he needed to help :)

Eating Spaghetti Like a Big Boy

Last night we gave Ben spaghetti for the first time. He was so excited! He fed himself the spaghetti and made quite a mess but he had a great time and was just eating and babbling. (I am pretty sure he was thanking me for dinner, haha) He also had whole steamed peas and carrots and loved them too. There is not much that this little guy doesn't like to eat, except for Jello :)

Ben Learns to Sing

Tonight my mom was playing with Ben and he was totally copying her. It was the cutest thing and it was cracking us up. You have to listen REALLY carefully to hear him but his little voice is so sweet.

A Day at The Ranch

Today Ben, my sister Staci and I went out to The Ranch where our friends Cassie, Jeff, Jake and Jenny live. They have goats, horses, and dogs out there and Ben was really excited to see all the animals. This was Ben's first time seeing a horse and he was really confused at first and then found the horse to be really quite funny. His favorite part was seeing the horse's teeth. Then we ate lunch with our friends, chatted, took a walk around the ranch, and watched the boys fix up and race go karts. Finally, we rode on a kubota tractor around the ranch and went to see a dead horse and see the sights. It was a great day, with great friends, and great food. Thanks Ranch Clan for inviting us all out for a great relaxing day :)

Fun With Friends

The other day Ben's friends Cadence and Lyric were over for a little bit and Cadence decided that she wanted to play bubbles. I had not really played bubbles with Ben yet so I thought I would give it a try and see what he thought about them. As you can tell he thinks that bubbles are hilarious and he loves when his friend Cadence tries to pop them. He and Cadence had a great time and are great friends!

Coasting into Good Times

Tonight Ben discovered the wooden coasters at my parent's house. He learned that you can bang them together like clapping, bang them on the floor and make loud sounds, and slide them on the floor really fast like air hockey. Who knew coasters could be so fun?

Mr Tiki Man

Here is Ben in his Hawaiian Tiki Shirt. Check out this guy sitting on the stairs like a big boy :)

A Day at the Beach

Today was a great day! My cousin Kirsten and her family are in town, and whenever we hang out, you just know it will be a great day. Zeke and his daddy spent the day at Disneyland for his 5th birthday, so us girls and the babies went and got coffee and spent the day at the beach. our friends Cadence, Lyric and Kelly came too. It started out a little gloomy but cleared right up and became a beautiful day. Ben was feeling much better and had tons of fun playing in the sand. He loved to try and eat all the little rocks, run his fingers through the sand, crawl in it, put his toes in the water, and play on the swings. It was great to just spend time together and watch the kids laugh and play.

Then later, my cousins Mark and Rachel came into town too. So we all met up with my sister and went to dinner at Garmans (a great little Irish pub) in Santa Paula. It was so fun to be able to all just hang out and catch up. We love having our family in town :)

A Tasty Nibble

A couple of weekends ago my friend Kelly and I took the kids and hung out at the harbor for a little bit while our hubbys worked. Here are some fun pics of Ben enjoying a bite of Mommy's ice cream cone. (and no, we do not make a habit of giving our son ice cream.) :)

10 Months Old!

I AM HOW OLD?????????????????

Each time the 17th comes around, I realize my little boy is getting bigger and bigger. He's learning so many new things. He's getting into everything, but it's also exciting to watch him grow and learn. He's trying to stand up and walk around everything he can get his hands on, including any pair of legs that walk by. He's eating quite a variety of table foods, most of which he loves. He loves people and is always smiling and waving to them. He doesn't know how to blow kisses yet, but he thinks it's hilarious when people do it to him and he has a terrible fear of the vacuum. These are just a few of the fun facts about Ben right now. I cannot believe how much I still miss him when I'm working, but CSUCI just ended and I'll be finished teaching for the year in about 5 more weeks; then the summer is all ours!!! I cannot believe that he'll be ONE in 8 weeks. I still remember when he was 8 weeks old!!! I just love this little guy, he is my sunshine each and everyday!!!!!!!!!!

Where's Ben?

There he is!

Can you believe he doesn't like it? This kid eats anything, but he doesn't like Jello? WEIRD!
