34 Week Update

Here is the newest pix of Ben at 34 weeks 5 days. He is currently weighing 5 lbs 12 oz which is right on track but he is longer than most babies his age right now (no surprise there, ha ha) We monitored his heart rate on Friday as well and all seems to be looking great! His induction date (due to the meds that I have to take) is still set for July 17th!

He has also really started getting a personality. Whenever we ice for my shots, he kicks off the ice pack; whenever I go swimming, I think he tries swimming too; if you poke at him, he will kick you back and make my whole tummy shake. He has quite the personality and we are so excited to meet him!!!

I am still doing great! I have only gained 14 lbs and the doctor says that it is fine because Ben is doing great. I have really enjoyed being PG but for about the past week, with the heat around here, I think I am just about done :)
Bryan is thrilled to be done with school and is working on things around the house, primarily the landscaping. It is nice to have him around more as this PG is coming to an end.

The second big event for Bryan this weekend, was his first Father's Day on Sunday! Bryan, I am so blessed to have you as a husband and the father of our son! I can not wait to see you playing with him, telling him stories, singing him songs (even the weird ones you make up, LOL) and wiping away tears. I can not wait to see you spend time with him and share the Lord with him! Bryan, you are an amazing husband and I can not wait to be a mommy with you! Happy Father's Day!!!

More Nursery Picture Updates

The nursery is coming along, we have now put together all the bedding and organized clothes, closets, etc. Next will be the wall decorations, pics, etc. Here are some pics for those of you that live far away and can not see the nursery coming together. The theme of the nursery is safari and I know that I am biased but I think it is so cute :)

Nursery in Progress

This post is for my sister who is DYING to know what Ben's furniture looks like and how his nursery is coming along, LOL!!! So here you go, Staci . . . the fat PG lady and the cute baby furniture :)

So as you can see the nursery is starting to come along. I have had some severe nesting cravings lately so Bryan and I put together the furniture and as soon as we get a mattress for the crib we will wash and put the bedding on. My mom is a trooper; it took her 5 coats to cover the old wall color and paint it the new color that is shown in the pix. She and I also washed all his blankets and socks the other day which was really fun, because the socks are so dang little. We had the best time matching and folding those little things. So for now, the nesting continues. We will update with more pix as we get further along.

Mommy update: My body is starting to prepare itself for labor. I have been having some really strong contractions lately but nothing regular, just enough to get my attention. I am starting to get really tired though, so afternoon naps are becoming more routine. I am also starting to get things together so I can pack my hospital bag soon . . . 6 more weeks!!!

Daddy update: Daddy is trying to finish up with all of his final projects and final exams this week and next week. He graduates on Saturday, June 14 and Ben & I are sooo excited and proud of him. He has been working really hard, prayers that he stays strong until the end.
